Amazon Prime Video has released the first batch of photos from “Young Sherlock,” filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s new series starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (“The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”) as a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes.

The series is inspired by Andy Lane’s novels that reimagine Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famed detective. In 1870s Oxford, Holmes is disgraced, raw, unfiltered, and unformed, when he finds himself caught up in a murder mystery at Oxford University which threatens his freedom.

Diving into his first-ever case with a wild lack of discipline, he manages to unravel a globe-trotting conspiracy that will change his life forever and set him on a couse to become Baker Street’s most renowned resident.

Also starring are Dónal Finn as James Moriarty, Zine Tseng as Princess Gulun Shou’an, Joseph Fiennes as Silas Holmes, Natascha McElhone as Cordelia Holmes, Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, and Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge.

Showrunner Matthew Parkhill writes and executive produces the TV show alongside Ritchie, Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson.

Ritchie, who directed the two Robert Downey Jr.-led “Sherlock Holmes” films, is also a director on the show which will release on Prime Video in 2026.
