Marcello Hernández (“Happy Gilmore 2,” “Dying for Sex”) and Skyler Gisondo (“Superman,” “Booksmart”) are the latest additions to the voice cast of the next “Shrek” film.
The pair are set to play Shrek’s sons Fergus and Farkle in the upcoming project with DreamWorks Animation making the announcement this morning.
In a video post, both actors are seen getting into character – Hernández putting on green body paint while Gisondo just slips on a Shrek hat.
Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz are all set to reprise their voice roles as Shrek, Donkey and Fiona. Zendaya has also joined the cast as Shrek and Fiona’s daughter, Felicia.
Conrad Vernon (“Shrek 2”) and Walt Dohrn are directing alongside Brad Ableson (“Minions: The Rise of Gru”). Gina Shay and Chris Meledandri produce.
The films have grossed nearly $3 billion at the global box office with Universal Pictures set to release “Shrek 5” on June 30th 2027.
