Disney+ has premiered the full trailer for the second season of its fantasy series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” ahead of the show’s return on December 10th.
The second season is based on Riordan’s second Percy Jackson novel, “Sea of Monsters,” which was previously adapted to film.
After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp – the legendary Golden Fleece.
With help from Annabeth, Clarisse and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival becomes essential to stopping Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood – and ultimately, Olympus.
Daniel Diemer joins the cast as Tyson. Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Virginia Kull, and Adam Copeland all return alongside co-showrunners Dan Shotz and Jonathan E. Steinberg.
A third season is already in the works based on Rick Riordan’s third novel, “The Titan’s Curse”, with Percy setting out to rescue his friend Annabeth Chase and the Greek goddess Artemis – both of whom have been kidnapped by the Titan Atlas.
