Former “Jessica Jones” stars Krysten Ritter and Carrie-Anne Moss will reunite for the creature feature “Claire”.
The story follows a struggling single mother battling addiction, as a malevolent creature that feeds on despair begins to terrorise her and her two sons.
As her fight for sobriety deepens, the line between inner demons and real monsters blurs, culminating in a harrowing battle for survival and redemption.
Cameron Crovetti (“The Boys”) and Sarah Bolger (“Mayans M.C.”) have also been set to join the cast of the film which will be directed by James Wan’s longtime assistant Tracy Kleeman in her directorial debut.
John Carlos Higgins penned the script for the film which is said to blend elements of “The Relic,” “Hereditary” and “The Babadook”.
Matthew R. Cooper, Anna Dragoo, Sterling Beaumon and Thomas Mahoney produce.
