Paramount Pictures

Skybound Entertainment and Hasbro Entertainment are teaming to produce the adult animated series “Energon Universe” based on the comics of the same name created by Robert Kirkman.

The mythologies of “G.I. Joe,” “Transformers”, and “Void Rivals” will unite under the project, which is based on the comic created in 2021 that delivers a cohesive shared universe.

The series is aiming to go broad and have the same adult sensibility as Amazon’s adaptation of Kirkman’s “Invincible”.

The comic has become one of Hasbro’s bestselling comic book lines ever, with over 7 million combined units sold worldwide.

Joe Henderson (“Lucifer”) is attached to write the adaptation and serve as showrunner. The series is expected to be taken out to buyers shortly.

Hasbro film and television shows based on properties like “Clue,” “Dungeons & Dragons” and “Magic: The Gathering” are all in the works.
