Netflix has premiered a new clip from the fourth season of “The Witcher,” the clip introducing Laurence Fishburne’s key character of Regis to the fantasy drama.
In the lore Regis, aka. Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy, is a very powerful higher vampire over four centuries old when he first meets Geralt of Rivia. He was also a highly educated barber, surgeon and overall polymath.
Introduced in the book “Baptism of Fire,” the character becomes a vital part of Geralt’s group in later books, with Fishburne set to play the role across both the upcoming fourth season and the recently in production fifth and final season.
Fishburne has been attached to the series since early 2024 and will star opposite Liam Hemsworth, who takes over as Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill. The fourth and fifth seasons are set to adapt the last three books in the saga.
Joining them in the new run are several returnees, including Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Bart Edwards as Emhyr van Emreis, and Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz of Roggeveen, along with many new faces.
“The Witcher” Season 4 premieres on Netflix on October 30th.
