Final Trailer: “IT: Welcome to Derry”

HBO Max has premiered the final trailer for the TV series “IT: Welcome to Derry” which launches in about a week and a half on the streamer.

The project serves as a prequel to the hit two-film adaptation of the Stephen King novel “IT” with the story here set in the early 1960s in the period before Pennywise goes into hibernation and re-emerges in the 1980s in the first film.

The result is a movie set in the period the original “IT” novel set its child scenes.

Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso star while Bill Skarsgård is reprising his role as Pennywise from the first two films.

Andy Muschietti, who directed the films, developed the nine-episode series with producers Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs. He’s directing four episodes of the run.

Both Muschiettis, Skarsgård, Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin executive produce with Fuchs and Kane serving as co-showrunners.

“IT: Welcome to Derry” premieres on HBO Max on October 26th.
