Early “Stranger Things” S5 Runtimes Are In

Netflix

A recent report claiming that every episode of the upcoming fifth season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” would boast feature-length runtimes of at least 90 minutes appears to have been rather exaggerated.

Series co-creator Ross Duffer revealed the length of the first four episodes for the final season of the show on Instagram today, with the episodes running as follows:

1. “The Crawl” – 68 minutes
2. Title TBA – 54 minutes
3. “The Turnbow Trap” – 66 minutes
4. “Sorcerer” – 83 minutes

The fourth season saw all but one episode running over 70 minutes, while the final three episodes were feature-length. The finale clocked in at a whopping 142 minutes.

The fifth season is in three parts – these first four episodes arrive November 26th, followed by the next three episodes at Christmas and the finale titled “The Rightside Up” on New Year’s Eve. It’s expected these first four will be the shortest of the season.

Shawn Levy and Frank Darabont are among the directors for the final season which is expected to be one of the biggest hits of the year for the streamer.
