“Ocean’s 14” Aiming To Film Next Year

Warner Bros. Pictures

Actor George Clooney is currently at the New York Film Festival promoting his new Netflix film “Jay Kelly” from filmmaker Noah Baumbach.

Giving interviews on the film’s red carpet, he revealed that the long-discussed but always seemingly out of reach “Ocean’s Fourteen” film looks to be finally happening.

Speaking with E! News, he says things are moving forward enough they appear to have a shooting window lined up for next year:

“We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers, and we’re trying to set up. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or ten months, shooting.”

Clooney also spoke about reuniting with some of the stars of the films like Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, saying:

“Yeah, Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon], Don [Cheadle], and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun.”

Clooney didn’t reveal who will direct the film. Steven Soderbergh helmed Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen” but has stepped back from the series.

“Conclave” director Edward Berger was linked at one point but dropped out. At last report “The Fall Guy” and “Bullet Train” helmer David Leitch was attached.
