Hulu Tile Heading To Disney+ Overseas

Disney

Despite being so long-running, Hulu has only ever really been a U.S. domestic brand with the service mostly unknown overseas. That’s about to change.

Disney has confirmed that on October 8th, Hulu will replace the ‘Star’ section on Disney+ overseas. The change comes ahead what Disney is promising will be a ‘fully integrated unified app experience’ in 2026 for every market.

“Further integrations” of Hulu across the Disney+ app will launch in the coming months as “part of an ongoing and iterative slate of product updates on the homepage and beyond.”

That includes what’s been dubbed a “more visual home screen” along with more intuitive navigation and more personalized recommendations. Disney completed the full acquisition of Hulu in a deal with Comcast in June.

Disney also says it’s “putting a lot of thought into enhancing the mobile experience” with Widgets coming to the Disney+ iOS app.

All this comes ahead of price hikes in the US with different tiers going up $2-3 bucks a month.
