More Return For “The Beekeeper” Sequel

Miramax

Emmy Raver-Lampman (“The Umbrella Academy”), Bobby Naderi (“The Better Sister”), and Jemma Redgrave (“Doctor Who”) will reprise their roles from last year’s “The Beekeeper” in the upcoming sequel at Miramax and Amazon MGM Studios.

David Ayer helmed the first film, which grossed $162 million worldwide. This time, Timo Tjahjanto (“Nobody 2”) helms the film from a script by returning writer Kurt Wimmer.

Jason Statham returns as Adam Clay, a former government assassin who comes out of retirement in a quest for vengeance. Also back is Jeremy Irons as former CIA director Wallace Westwyld.

Raver-Lampman played the FBI agent investigating Adam, Naderi as her FBI agent partner, and Redgrave as U.S. President Jessica Danforth.

Yara Shahidi plays a new addition to the cast in the project, which is currently filming. Statham, Wimmer and Chris Long produce.
