Beekeeper 2
Yara Shahidi (“Black-ish”) will star opposite Jason Statham in “The Beekeeper 2” at Miramax and Amazon MGM Studios. Jeremy Irons also returns in the sequel which follows the first film events about a retired government assassin who targets scammers and identity thieves. Timo Tjahjanto (“Nobody 2,” “The Night Comes for Us”) directs from a script by Kurt Wimmer, who penned the first film. [Source: Instagram]

Edge of Tomorrow 2
The newest issue of Production Weekly suggests the “Edge of Tomorrow” sequel is targeting a late 2026 shoot with Cruise and Emily Blunt set to return. Director Doug Liman himself confirmed that he and Cruise have been revisiting the idea, and Warners chief David Zaslav has been pushing Cruise to prioritize the title. [Source: PW (via WoR)

Krypto Saves the Day
HBO Max has confirmed the short film “Krypto Saves the Day: Halloween Haunt,” the second in a series of animated shorts about the “Superman” dog, will premiere on October 1st on the service. The short will see the super pooch dealing with a Halloween candy crises. [Source: HBO Max]

ROG Xbox Ally
Microsoft have confirmed the retail prices of their upcoming handhelds – the ROG Xbox Ally and its more powerful version the ROG Xbox Ally X. The standard version will cost $599.99 and the X version will cost $999.99, with both handheld gaming PCs being released on October 16th.

Those are significantly higher price points than their competition like the Steam Deck OLED starting at just $319 and the Nintendo Switch 2 at $449. Not long after the announcement, Xbox also said that pre-orders were sold out worldwide. [Source: PC Mag]
