Full Trailer: “IT: Welcome to Derry”

HBO Max

Following two teasers that have kept the clown under wraps, Pennywise finally gets a little more screen time (albeit still very limited) in the new full trailer for the TV series “IT: Welcome to Derry” at HBO Max.

The project serves as a prequel to the hit two-film adaptation of the Stephen King novel “IT”. The story unfolds in the early 1960s in the period before Pennywise goes into hibernation and re-emerges in the 1980s when the creature encounters the Losers Club.

Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso star while Bill Skarsgård is reprising his role as Pennywise from the first two films.

Andy Muschietti, who directed the films, developed the nine-episode series with producers Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs. He’s directing four episodes of the run.

Both Muschiettis, Skarsgård, Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin executive produce with Fuchs and Kane serving as co-showrunners.

“IT: Welcome to Derry” is expected to premiere on HBO Max on October 26th with weekly episodes.
