Netflix has released a new featurette for the second season of its live-action adaptation of the iconic anime “One Piece”.
The clip shows off more set designs, costumes and some action sequences from the new run along with the core returning Straw Hats crew as they enter the Grand Line.
The second season arrives in early 2026, over two years since the first, strikes and other factors delaying production. A third season however has already been ordered and will go into production in November ahead of a release sometime in 2027.
The second season adapts several arcs including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island – following the first season’s path of essentially compressing the events of five arcs and 45 anime episodes into a workable several episode season.
Characters like Nico Robin, Princess Vivi, Crocodile, Dragon, Smoker and Brogy all come into play in the new run with actors like Joe Manganiello, Katey Sagal, David Dastmalchian, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Clive Russell, and Callum Kerr coming in to play.
