Apple TV+ has renewed its high-profile series “The Morning Show” for a fifth season, the order coming one day before the premiere of the show’s fourth season on the service.
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon star in the drama series which follows the major players at a morning news show and the network that airs it.
In the fourth season, the UBA-NBN merger is complete and the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America.

The cast also includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie and Jon Hamm. New for the fourth season are Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons.
Charlotte Stoudt serves as showrunner while Mimi Leder serves as director. Both ee Media Res produces the series. Executive producers include Stoudt, Leder, Witherspoon, Aniston, Michael Ellenberg, Lindsey Springer, Lauren Neustadter, Kristin Hahn, Zander Lehmann and Micah Schraft.
