A new official synopsis for the third “Frozen” film has been revealed, the description arriving via an official WeChat account in China.
The reveal was tied to last weekend’s Disney merchandising expo which showcased several things from upcoming movies – most notably Dr. Doom’s look for the new “Avengers”.
Almanaquedisney has posted a translation which reads: “In this new chapter, witness the wedding of the century in Arendelle as Queen Anna walks down the aisle and joins Elsa on a new magical journey filled with unknown challenges. And what’s even more exciting: the royal family is about to welcome a mysterious new member!”
Jennifer Lee, co-director of the first two films, will return to lead the project. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad plan to reprise their roles but recordings have not gotten underway as yet.
Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will once again return to handle the music. Both the previous films went on to become billion dollar blockbusters, the original “Frozen” spawning a whole minor industry with massive merchandise sales to this day.
Walt Disney Animation Studios is scheduled to premiere the new entry in cinemas in November 2027.
