The first photos have been released of Jack Black and Paul Rudd in “Anaconda,” a new and more comedic reimagining on the 1997 creature feature of the same name.
Black and Rudd play Doug and Griff, two lifelong friends who have always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie – the cinematic classic “Anaconda”.
But things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed.
Also starring are Selton Mello as Santiago Braga, Daniela Melchior as Ana Almeida, Thandiwe Newton as Claire Simons, Steve Zahn as Kenny Trent, and Ione Skye as Malie McCallister.
Tom Gormican (“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”) directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Kevin Etten, while Brad Fuller and Andrew Form produce.
Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, and Jon Voight starred in the original 1997 film which made $136 million worldwide. Sony Pictures will release the new “Anaconda” in cinemas on Christmas Day.
