Disney released a new trailer for “TRON: Ares” ahead of the film’s release next month.
Going by the name ‘Flynn Lives,’ the extended clip offers brief revisits of the original “TRON” and “TRON: Legacy” before jumping into the new film with mostly footage from previous trailers but also some new footage sprinkled throughout.
“TRON: Ares” follows a highly sophisticated program names Ares (Jared Leto) who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.
Joining Leto in the film are Gillian Anderson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Cameron Monaghan, and Jeff Bridges.
Nine Inch Nails is composing the score for the film which was shot in Vancouver last year by filmmaker Joachim Rønning (“Kon-Tiki,” “Young Woman and the Sea”). The film has been co-written by Jesse Wigutow (“Daredevil: Born Again”) and Jack Thorne (“Adolescence”)
“TRON: Ares” is set to hit cinemas on October 10th.
