Discovery Home Entertainment has now announced a September 9th digital release date and an October 14th 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release for Zach Cregger’s “Weapons,” the title hitting digital just one month after it opened theatrically and still sits high on the domestic box office. Untitled Jordan Peele Project
A few days ago, the news came that Jordan Peele’s next directorial effort, last dated for October 2026, was taken off Universal’s release calendar. Now, a key contributing factor appears to have emerged.
THR reports that Peele has no working script for the film at this time. The project was already delayed in development due to the actors’ strike, but it sounds like little progress has been made in the two years since.
A Very Jonas Christmas Movie
Disney has set a November 14th release date for the holiday comedy “A Very Jonas Christmas Movie”. Billie Lourd, Laverne Cox, KJ Apa, Chloe Bennet, Andrew Barth Feldman, Andrea Martin, Kenny G, Justin Tranter, Randall Park and Jesse Tyler Ferguson co-star.
In the film, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families. Jessica Yu directs from a script by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.
Anaconda
Sony Pictures has unveiled the official logo and key art for the anticipated reboot of the “Anaconda” franchise starring Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Selton Mello, Daniela Melchior and Ione Skye.
The artwork, spotted on a Cinemark snacks stand, gives us a brief glimpse at the reboot’s titular snake. The film opens in cinemas on Christmas Day.
