Amazon Prime Video has premiered the official trailer for the Colin Hanks-directed documentary “John Candy: I Like Me” which has its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival tonight.
Ryan Reynolds produces the film which explores the life and career of the Canadian comedic actor, with new interviews with some of his closest friend and co-stars.
The film documents his on- and off-camera existence, featuring never-before-seen home videos, intimate access to his family, and candid recollections from collaborators about the man who was the brightest stars of the late 1970s through the early 1990s.
It’s the story of a son, husband, father, friend, and professional driven to bring joy to audiences and loved ones while battling personal ghosts and Hollywood pressures.
Dan Aykroyd, Catherine O’Hara, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, and Macaulay Culkin are among those who discuss the man on camera.
Sean Stuart, Glen Zipper, George Dewey, Johnny Pariseau, and Shane Reid produce the film which will debut exclusively on Prime Video on October 10th.
