“Marvel’s Spider-Man” game developers Insomniac Games’ “Wolverine” game is finally ready to be shown off.
Four years after it was first teased at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase, sources for Insider Gaming claim PlayStation is currently planning its next State of Play event towards the end of September.
Other sources say production of the next trailer for “Wolverine” has now been completed and is “almost certainly” going to be at the event. If not, then The Game Awards in December would be the next likely candidate.
The project hit issues in late 2023 when a ransomware attack hit the company leading to employee information and a substantial amount of game footage leakeing online.
The hack reportedly resulted in some changes to the game’s plans, how much though is unknown. The game is currently slated to release exclusively on the PlayStation 5, but no indications of a date as yet.
Bungie’s “Marathon” is expected to be the main focus of the next State of Play event along with a final push for “Ghost of Yotei” which hits stores October 2nd.
