Sony Pictures appears to be readying to take the cover off of Nia DaCosta’s “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” the upcoming sequel to Danny Boyle’s “28 Years Later” from this Summer.
Several outlets like Discussing Film have noticed that the social media account for the film has been updated with a tease that seems to suggest the first trailer for the movie will debut soon.
It follows on from recent test screenings for the film, with reports claiming it has scored a better reception than Boyle’s film according to FearHQ. They add there were “multiple applause breaks” during the film and Jack O’Connell offering a “villain performance of the year”.
The film is again being penned by Alex Garland, while Boyle is producing, and actor Cillian Murphy is executive producing.
Actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes and O’Connell return for ‘The Bone Temple’ which was shot essentially back-to-back with the first film. Story details for that second film remain under wraps.
A third film still doesn’t have a title or director, so hasn’t gone into production.
