Amazon Prime Video’s “Vought Rising,” the next spin-off of its hit series “The Boys,” has officially begun production.
To mark the occasion, the streamer has released the first official promotional images for the show – four character portraits highlighting key cast members.
The shots include Jensen Ackles as the returning Soldier Boy in a new costume, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel and Will Hochman as Torpedo.
Also starring are Aya Cash as Stormfront along with Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.
The prequel takes place in the 1950s and charts the rise of the all-encompassing multi-billion dollar corporation known as Vought International. Tone wise it is said to be a twisted murder mystery.
The reveal comes as Jared Padalecki reportedly indicated at Fan Expo in Boston last weekend (via Coming Soon) that it will be the fifth episode of the main “The Boys” series upcoming fifth and final season which will serve as the on-screen reunion of himself and former “Supernatural” co-star Ackles.
Padalecki added: “for those who are not yet 18, do not watch it.” Padalecki also reportedly indicated that Prime Video plans to premiere the final season of the superhero series in two batches, with the first four episodes on one date and the second batch of four episodes on another.
