Ruffalo, Mando Returning For “Spider-Man”

AMC, Marvel

Mark Ruffalo and Michael Mando are set to reprise their roles of Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Mac Gargan/Scorpion in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” at Sony Pictures.

Both have been rumoured for a while, but Ruffalo’s involvement reportedly only became a thing once the script was set.

Mando, best known for his performances in things like “Better Call Saul” and the game “Far Cry 3,” will return to the villain character he briefly played in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” – the first of the Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” films.

They will join Holland who returns, while Jon Bernthal reprises his The Punisher role in what will be his first big-screen appearance in the MCU.

The trade adds that from what they understand, Spider-Man, Punisher and Hulk will all fight one another before figuring out who the real bad guys are.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the feature that has regular Spider-Man scribes Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers writing the script.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has a release date of July 31st 2026.
