Filming on Greta Gerwig’s “The Magician’s Nephew,” her adaptation of the first installment of C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia” for Netflix, is slated to begin in September in the UK.
NarniaWeb has heard from various insiders that the crew is currently setting up for the last part of pre-production with Gerwig expected to get to work on it after attending Venice Film Festival at the end of this month.
That’s not the only filming news to emerge today. Appearing on the latest episod of The Hot Mic, scooper Jeff Sneider says that Ryan Coogler’s “Black Panther 3” is aiming to kick off production at the start of 2027.
He indicates that the film is aiming to hit cinemas in the ‘Untitled Marvel Film’ release currently slated for February 18th 2028 – the first MCU feature to release after “Avengers: Secret Wars” releases two months earlier.
Coogler is currently working on the film’s screenplay with ideas said to be generating much excitement among Marvel Studios executives.
It has been rumoured that the series is expected to reintroduce T’Challa, whether it be the grown-up version of the previously shown Toussaint, or a version of the character with a different face in the post-Secret Wars timeline.
