Rosalind Eleazar (“Slow Horses,” “Missing You”) has landed the lead role of Misty Green in a new untitled feature from comedian/actor/filmmaker Chris Rock.
In addition, Adam Driver (“Megalopolis”), Daniel Kaluuya (“Nope”), and Anna Kendrick (“Another Simple Favor”) have also joined the cast.
Rock is directing the project from his own script with the movie set up at A24. Production is currently underway in Los Angeles.
In the film, Eleazar’s Misty Green is a gifted actress whose career has derailed until someone from her past offers her a chance at a comeback. Character specifics regarding Driver, Kaluuya, and Kendrick have not been revealed.
Peter Rice, Rock and David Worthen Brooks are producing the film which will be Rock’s first for A24.
Rock made his directorial debut with the political satire “Head of State,” but then drew acclaim for his more adult romantic dramedies – 2007’s “I Think I Love My Wife” and 2014’s “Top Five”.
