Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Paramount Pictures has finally set an August 19th digital release date for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” the film arriving on digital a full three months after its theatrical release, which earned a worldwide gross of $589 million.

The release comes with plenty of bonus features including multiple commentary tracks, five featurettes, deleted scenes with optional commentary, isolated score track and more. It will be followed by a 4K disc release on October 14th. [Source: Paramount]

Zita the Spacegirl
Ken Daurio (“Despicable Me,” “The Secret Life of Pets”) will write the script for a feature adaptation of the animated feature “Zita the Spacegirl” at Sycamore Studios. Filming is expected to begin in early 2026.

Based on Ben Hatke’s graphic novel series, the story centers on a girl who finds a strange device that sends her to an alien world, where she must save her friend and possibly the entire galaxy. Jeremy Latcham (“Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”) will executive produce. [Source: THR]

Buddy
Emmy nominee Cristin Milioti (“The Penguin”) is set to star in the indie horror thriller “Buddy”. Casper Kelly (“Too Many Cooks”) is directing the film which began production this week in Ohio. J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules are producing while Kelly co-wrote the script with Jamie King. [Source: THR]

Untitled Vince Gilligan Series
Apple is set to reveal “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” creator Vince Gilligan’s new Apple TV+ series this Friday July 25th at 3pm US-ET. Rhea Seehorn stars in the psychological sci-fi series with all details about it under wraps beyond it already getting a second season.

Battlefield 6
EA has confirmed it will officially reveal “Battlefield 6” on Thursday July 24th with the game expected to be released before March 2026. The next Battlefield game has been in closed testing since March with a large amount of game footage having leaked online.
