The first trailer has arrived for “Challengers” and “Call Me By Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino’s new thriller “The Hunt”.
Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, Chloe Sevigny and Michael Stuhlbarg lead the cast of the timely thriller set in the world of U.S. academia.
The story follows Roberts as a college professor who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues and friends. Soon, a dark secret from her past threatens to come to light.
Nora Garrett wrote the script and will executive produce with Karen Lunder for Imagine Entertainment. Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum are also producing.
Shot around Cambridge University in the UK, the film’s cinematographer is Malik Hassan Sayeed (“Clockers,” “Belly,” “He Got Game”) who returns to feature filmmaking for the first time in 25 years.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross composed the score for the film which opens in cinemas on October 10th.
