Though Superman is hogging the headlines this week, it hasn’t stopped the publicity train for Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” from continuing to release material.
First up, the F4’s home – the Baxter Building – has just been listed on Zillow – complete with tie-in promotional video. The 4 bed/4 bath, 4,444 sq ft. property aims to ‘sell’ for $4,444,444. The video shows off some of the practical sets constructed for the film, amenities on offer and the world in which the building resides.
Marvel has also released two clip from the film. The first shows off the dining room in which this family has their weekly dinners together, and at which a major personal reveal takes place for Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby).
The second shows off the arrival of Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) in New York as she issues her warning that everyone should celebrate their final moments as she heralds Galactus. Both clips show off the film’s CG quite well, with The Thing in particular quite impressive.
Finally there’s a new TV spot which has also been included. Meanwhile, a recent press release has seen John Malkovich’s name pop back up in the cast list. Malkovich’s name absence from TV spots and recent press releases led to speculation that his role, expected to be little more than a cameo, had been cut.
“Fantastic Four: The First Steps” opens on July 25th.
