DC Films Out, “Peacemaker” In At Comic-Con?

HBO Max

The other day came the news that Marvel Studios is skipping next month’s San Diego Comic-Con. Now, DC Studios is also reportedly set to be sitting out the annual confab – at least on the film front.

Heat Vision reports that with the event coming two weeks after “Superman” arrives in theaters, and almost a full year before “Supergirl” hits, the studio opted out and won’t make any major film reveals.

However, they also add that DC Studios is “going all-in on ‘Peacemaker'”. With the second season of that set to premiere on August 21st, DC is expected to have a major footprint for the series, which could include a Hall H panel.

If that’s the case then expect the full contingent to show up including John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, Robert Patrick, Tim Meadows, etc.

One other possibility not mentioned is HBO Max’s “Lanterns” series which has been in production for a while now – long enough to possibly have a first look clip exclusively for the room.

DC Studios will release “Superman” on July 11th, check out a new TV spot for the film below. This year’s San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 24th-27th, while “Peacemaker” Season 2 launches on HBO Max on August 21st.
