Netflix has premiered the first official trailer for Rian Johnson’s “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” the third film in the director’s Benoit Blanc film series.
Johnson and a good chunk of the cast were on hand at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles to introduce the trailer with the biggest applause held for both Daniel Craig along with Jeremy Renner who appeared on hand with two t-shirt guns and seemed in good health.
Shot in the UK last year, Craig is back as Southern-accented detective Benoit Blanc along with a packed list of potential suspects, victims and killer.
Story details for the new film remain under wraps, but the trailer teases an ‘impossible crime’ having taken place with much of the teaser seemingly happening around an English church.
The all-star cast includes Josh Brolin, Thomas Haden Church, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Josh O’Connor, Jeremy Renner, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny and Kerry Washington.
Johnson and Ram Bergman are producing with the film set to release on the service on December 12th 2025.
