Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for its action thriller drama series “Countdown” starring former “Supernatural” and “The Boys” alum Jensen Ackles.
The thirteen-episode series hails from “One Chicago” veteran Derek Haas and begins with a suspicious murder in broad daylight.
This leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum (Ackles) being recruited into a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate.
As the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome conflicting personal agendas to unite and save the city. Haas created the series and serves as executive producer and showrunner.
Jessica Camacho, Eric Dane, Elliot Knight, Violett Beane and Uli Latukefu co-star in the series which will be released on Amazon Prime Video.
The first three episodes premiere June 25th with the remainder airing weekly.
