Acotr Jharrel Jerome says that he hasn’t recorded any lines for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” as yet. The “Moonlight,” “I’m a Virgo” and “Unstoppable” star briefly appeared at the cliffhanger end of 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”.
The actor provided the voice of Miles G. Morales/The Prowler, the alternate universe version of our hero Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) who loomed over his counter part in final scenes of the movie.
Speaking to Screen Rant, Jerome confirms he actually hasn’t done any work on the next film and knows as much as everyone else:
“[I] can’t really say so much more because, you know, that’s such a tight-knit ship. I don’t even know much. I’m as much in the dark as you, but I’m excited to get back into it and see what they’re thinking, especially involving my character. That was such a badass twist to the last one.”
The third film’s development has been up and down with reports suggesting the project has been overhauled – a claim producer Chris Miller has denied. The films are famously arduous to produce with complex animations and talk of multiple revisions.
It’s expected we won’t see ‘Beyond’ for some time with the film currently not having a release date set. The previous film opened Summer 2023 and grossed $690.8 million.
