It appears there’s one big fight scene coming in the “Ahsoka” finale that was previously teased by one of the participants.
Diana Lee Inosanto made her live-action debut as Morgan Elsbeth in the fifth episode of the second season of “The Mandalorian,” an episode that saw her and Ahsoka get into a duel.
In an interview conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike and published a few weeks back, Inosanto spoke with EW’s Dagobah Dispatch (via The Direct) and teased a fight scene she had in “Ahsoka”.
She was asked about the differences between working on “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka” which is when the scene talk came up:
“What felt different? That’s a great question. I will tell you one thing: the fight scene for sure. Because we had about 17 hours to kick out that fight scene between Rosario [Dawson] and I [in ‘The Mandalorian’], whereas with this time around… we had days at it. Let’s just say that.
There were days added to that fight scene. So it’s a long, involved fight scene. It’s pretty intense. And then there’s other moments too. I think all of us have these… There’s so much action involved in this and I don’t want to say too much, but there are some incredible moments. Definitely, between all of us.”
When she says it was intense, it very likely was as Inosanto is a martial arts expert – daughter of legendary American martial arts instructor Dan Inosanto who taught Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and more. She is also Bruce Lee’s goddaughter.
The comments have come back around this week as, with only one episode to go, fans have been going back over past comments from featurettes and interviews, trying to figure out what is coming in the finale.
As there has been no Elsbeth/Ahsoka duel this season so far, logic dictates this major rematch between the Jedi and the Nightsister is set to be a big part of the finale.
The “Ahsoka” finale is slated to air Tuesday, October 3rd.
