Disney has premiered the first trailer for its upcoming short film “Once Upon a Studio” which is a part of the ongoing celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Disney.

An ensemble of beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios come together in the short for a reunion as they assemble for a group photo to mark the anniversary.

Approximately 543 Disney characters from more than 85 feature-length and short films appear in the short.

These include heroes and villains, princes and princesses, sidekicks and sorcerers – in a work combining all-new hand-drawn and CG animation – to “celebrate ten decades of storytelling, artistry and technological achievements”.

The short film will also incorporate unused archival audio of Robin Williams as the Genie from “Aladdin” alongside several returning actors from films including Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O’Hara (Belle), Josh Gad (Olaf) and Auli’i Cravalho (Moana).

Dan Abraham and Trent Correy directed the short which will premiere on ABC on October 15th as part of ABC’s “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration!” hosted by Kelly Ripa.
