Trailer: Scott, Mescal In “All of Us Strangers”

Searchlight

Searchlight has premiered the first trailer for “All of Us Strangers”, the latest film from acclaimed “Weekend” and “45 Years” director Andrew Haigh.

Andrew Scott (“Fleabag,” “Sherlock”), Paul Mescal (“Normal People,” “Aftersun”), Claire Foy (“The Crown”) and Jamie Bell (“Rocketman”) star in the project.

Adapted from Taichi Yamada’s award-winning novel, the story follows screenwriter Adam (Scott) who, one night in his near-empty London tower block, has a chance encounter with mysterious neighbor Harry (Mescal).

As they get closer, Adam is suddenly pulled back to his childhood home, where he discovers that his long-dead parents (Foy and Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died over thirty years ago.

The film is sitting on a superb 94% (8.7/10) on Rotten Tomatoes with acclaim for the performances and an obvious deeply personal work from Haigh.

Searchlight Pictures, Film4 and Blueprint Pictures are backing the project, which Graham Broadbent, Sarah Harvey and Pete Czernin are producing. The film will get a theatrical release on December 22nd.
