Disney+ and Hulu have released new photos and a trailer for their new “Goosebumps” TV series based on the classic R.L. Stine books.
The story centers on five high schoolers with troubled pasts who together to investigate the mysterious death of teenager Harold Biddle in their hometown three decades ago. New teacher Nathan Bratt (Justin Long) has a connection to the murder.
Trying to find the truth, the kids discover the dark mysteries their parents kept hidden from them and face down the supernatural forces beyond their comprehension.
The cast includes Ana Yi Puig as Isabella, Miles McKenna as James, Will Price as Jeff, Zack Morris as Isaiah, and Isa Briones as Margot. Lucifer’s Rachael Harris and Children’s Hospital’s Rob Huebel co-star.
Rob Letterman, who directed 2015’s “Goosebumps” film, executive produced and developed the series alongside filmmaker Nicholas Stoller who recently served as showrunner on Apple’s “Platnoic”.
Five episodes from the ten-episode series will debut on Friday, October 13th as part of the streamers’ annual Huluween celebrations. The remaining five episodes will be released weekly after that.
