Next “Ahsoka” Episode Gets A Theatrical Run

Lucasfilm

Hot on the heels of the midseason poster released earlier today, the official Star Wars website has announced that a special event is set to take place next week at cinemas around the world.

On September 12, at 5 pm US-PST, fans in ten cities across the United States – including Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Boston, and Orlando – will get to see the upcoming fifth episode of the series on the big screen and several hours ahead of its premiere on the Disney+ service.

Screenings will also be held in three international cities: London, UK; Bangkok, Thailand; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The screenings all have limited seating and are subject to availability.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR EPISODE 4

The screenings follow on from the season’s fourth episode, which ended on something of a cliffhanger as Morgan Elsbeth’s ship jumped to another galaxy (with a prisoner) whilst Ahsoka is seemingly dead and in the ‘World Between Worlds’ where she briefly met Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen).

That magical location has only ever been seen before in “Star Wars Rebels” and its brief glimpse in that “Ahsoka” episode this week. The fifth episode is expected to feature a bunch of Christensen’s return as Anakin and potentially the on-screen introduction of Grand Admiral Thrawn (Las Mikkelsen)

Head to the event’s official site for details. The fifth episode will air either way next Tuesday evening.
