Alexa Davalos Exits “FBI: Most Wanted”

CBS

“The Chronicles of Riddick” and “The Man in the High Castle” star Alexa Davalos is abruptly exiting CBS’ “FBI: Most Wanted” when it returns for a fifth season.

Davalos has been a regular on the show for the past two seasons, joining around the same time as the departure of original series regular cast member Kellan Lutz.

The news of her exit reportedly has come as a surprise to everyone – not just fans but many on the show, including possibly the actress herself.

According to Deadline, she was informed by a producer on set that she won’t be coming back after filming her last scene for the fourth season months ago.

Multiple sources for the trade claim Davalos’ departure was amicable. Still, that fourth season finale wrapped with no hint that her character, Special Agent Kristin Gaines, might be departing the series.

It is unclear how her exit will be explained as the show’s fifth season hasn’t been written yet due to the WGA strike. As such, it’s not clear if Davalos could return as a guest star to wrap up her character’s arc.

Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television produce the series.
