Netflix is bringing back its animated “Castlevania” franchise with the new spin-off series “Castlevania: Nocturne” with the series set to premiere on the service on September 28th.
In addition, the show’s first teaser trailer is expected to release online tomorrow, whilst a new poster for the series has been released and includes the tagline: “I pray for you, Richter Belmont.”
The series is reportedly set during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century and follows Richter Belmont, a descendent of Trevor, on a dangerous adventure.
Expect all the vampires, monsters, and other beasties you come to expect from the celebrated Konami video game franchise turned acclaimed 2017 Netflix animated series, which ran for four seasons.
1993’s “Castlevania: Rondo of Blood” and 1997’s “Castlevania: Symphony of the Night” are reportedly serving as the source material as Richter is the main character of the former and a supporting character in thelatter.
Clive Bradley created and pens the series whilst Kevin Kolde will serve as the showrunner.
