“The Witcher” Season 3, Part 2 Final Trailer

Netflix

Netflix has premiered a final trailer for the back half of the third season of its big-budget fantasy drama “The Witcher” based on the books by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The new season has been split into two, with the first five episodes premiering back on June 29th. The remaining three episodes will appear this Thursday July 27th and will mark Henry Cavill’s final outing in the role of Geralt of Rivia.

The third season is primarily an adaptation of “Time of Contempt,” one of the more action-heavy entries into Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel series.

Liam Hemsworth takes over the role of Geralt for the show’s fourth and fifth seasons which will reportedly swap to a more Ciri-centric focus. Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey co-star in the series.

The third season was shot Slovenia, Croatia, Morocco, parts of the Sahara, Wales, Surrey and Longcross Studios in England last Summer.

While Geralt still plays a crucial part in the series, the current season has been setting up Ciri as the show’s main character with the fate of the Continent depending on her. That direction is expected to continue next season.
