Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken
DreamWorks Animation’s “Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken” has been made available on PVOD just eighteen days after its theatrical release.

The film was a disastrous flop, drawing mixed reviews and grossing just $34.2 million at the worldwide box office from a budget of $70 million. [Source: Cinelinx]

Peacock
NBCUniversal has announced the first-ever price hike for its Peacock streaming service. Effective August 17th, the Peacock Premium (with ads) will increase by $1 to $5.99 whilst Peacock Premium Plus (ad-free) goes up $2 to $11.99 per month.

The platform is expected to reach nearly 100,000 hours of total content over the coming year. At the end of the first quarter of 2023, the service had 22 million subscribers. [Source: Variety]

The Continental
Amazon Prime has released more photos from “The Continental: From the World of John Wick,” the upcoming three-part series event that serves as a prequel to the “John Wick” franchise.

The photos show off Mel Gibson as a criminal kingpin Cormac along with new looks at Colin Woodell as a young Winston Scott and Ayomide Adegun as a young Charon.

The series premieres on Peacock in the U.S. on September 22nd and on Amazon Prime around much of the rest of the world.

Doctor Who
Timed with the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine releasing its cover, The BBC has unveiled four new posters for the upcoming “Doctor Who” specials and new season.

The one-sheets feature David Tennant’s 14th Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa’s 15th Doctor, and their respective companions, Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson). The specials air on the BBC and on Disney+ later this year.
