AMC has finally announced a September 10th premiere date for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” the next horror drama spin-off of the zombie series.
Additionally, a whole bunch of new photos from the series have been released, showing off Daryl (Norman Reedus) on his dangerous journey across a broken but resilient France after he washes ashore there with no memory of how or why he’s there.
As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his plan. The story will take place after the events of the main series and what happened with the Commonwealth in that show’s final season.
Co-starring are Clemence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.
Set photos have confirmed that Melissa McBride will be reprising her iconic role of Carol from the main series but she’s potentially not going to show up until the show’s second season, which has already been in production.
The six-episode series is executive produced by David Zabel, who is also set as the showrunner. Producers include Reedus, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, and Daniel Percival.
