Bradley Cooper To Direct “Is This Thing On?”

Warner Bros. Pictures

Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett are teaming up for “Is This Thing On?,” a new film in early development Searchlight, which will mark Cooper’s next directorial effort.

Both are set to co-star in the film, whilst Arnett penned the script with Mark Chappell. The pair turned in a draft before the writer’s strike commenced, and Cooper will likely have a go at the script with the writers after the strike ends.

Story details are being kept under wraps with Cooper, Arnett and Kris Thykier producing. It’s unclear what genre the film is in, let alone the subject matter.

Nine-time Oscar nominee Cooper is currently in post-production on the Leonard Bernstein biopic “Maestro” – a follow-up directing gig to his Oscar-winning “A Star Is Born”.

Cooper stars, directed, produced and co-wrote the script, with the film predicted to be a major player this awards season.

Arnett will soon be seen on “SmartLess: On The Road Documentary”, which follows the North American tour of his, Sean Hayes and Jason Bateman’s hit podcast.

Arnett produces and lends his voice to Peacock’s upcoming series “Twisted Metal” hitting next month, and co-stars in Taika Waititi’s “Next Goal Wins” due this Fall.
