Photos: Wick Prequel Series “The Continental”

Peacock

Peacock has released the first photos for the three-part “John Wick” prequel event series “The Continental” to air in September on Peacock and Starz in the United States, and on Prime Video internationally.

Set forty years before the events of the films in 1970s New York, the prequel spin-off centers around a younger version of Ian McShane’s Winston back when he was an up-and-coming hitman hotelier who, along with others, creates a haven for unsavoury types.

The shots offer a first look at the main cast, including young versions of Winston and Charon. Colin Woodell plays the young Winston alongside Ayomide Adegun as the young Charon.

Also starring are Mel Gibson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, Ben Robson, Peter Greene, Jeremy Bobb, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi, Marina Mazepa and Katie McGrath as The Adjudicator.

Executive producer Basil Iwanyk says the limited drama will give fans a chance to get to know more about Winston and Charon and about the ‘Wick’ world, which rarely gets ‘time to breathe’ like it does here.

Each instalment of the event series is expected to be 90 minutes long and will premiere over the course of three consecutive nights.
