A new report at One Take News indicates that “The Flash” director Andy Muschietti has been tapped to helm the new multiple Batmen film “The Brave and the Bold” at DC Studios.
The site claims multiple sources have confirmed the news for them, but Warner Bros. Pictures did not respond to the outlet’s multiple requests for comment. The film is expected to follow Bruce Wayne as he attempts to raise and train his biological son Damian Wayne.
DC Studios chief James Gunn has previously said he wanted “IT” director Muschietti for another project and has expressed deep praise for “The Flash” film which is set to hit cinemas late next week.
Muschietti himself was out promoting “The Flash” in Toronto recently and asked by Narcity what he would do if he could helm his own Batman film, he responded cryptically: “I don’t think I can talk to that yet”.
Muschietti is currently in the midst of shooting the “IT” prequel series “Welcome to Derry” at Max.
If the report pans out, this would mark the third DCU film with a director attached following Gunn himself directing “Superman: Legacy” and James Mangold directing “Swamp Thing”.
