Harbour, Comer Star In “Alone in the Dark”

“Stranger Things” alum David Harbour and “Killing Eve” star Jodie Comer have been revealed as actors playing the lead roles in the upcoming remake of the iconic 1992 video game “Alone in the Dark”.

Harbour stars as grizzled private investigator Edward Carnby whilst Comer plays Emily Hartwood, the niece of Jeremy Hartwood, who has been haunted by a character named the Dark Man.

In the game the pair visit Derceto Manor, a home for the mentally fatigued, to investigate the disappearance of Emily’s uncle. As the player, you can choose to play as either character.

Though the seventh overall title in the franchise, it’s a full third-person over-the-shoulder remake of the first akin to the “Resident Evil” remakes from Capcom.

Pieces Interactive, who developed it, says the psychological horror game is “more than just jump scares” and boasts resource-driven gunplay, numerous puzzles, and a thick atmosphere.

The new take hails from writer and game director Mikael Hedberg (“Soma,” “Amnesia: The Dark Descent”) and will be released on October 25th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
