Only Murders in the Building
Though some of the cast already gave it away, Hulu has now made it official – the Emmy-nominated “Only Murders in the Building” will return with its third season on Tuesday, August 8th.
The date was announced as part of Disney’s upfront presentation for the series, which stars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, along with this season’s big guest stars Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep. [Source: Hulu]
Rabbit Hole
Kiefer Sutherland says he’s not sure where Paramount+ stands on picking up his recent thriller series “Rabbit Hole” for a second season. Sutherland starred in the series as a corporate spy that is framed for a murder.
The actor says he “absolutely adored working on the show” with showrunners John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, but right now he doesn’t know the show’s fate, and it’s “very odd to not have a sense of where they stand with it.” [Source: TV Insider]
S.W.A.T.
Hot on the heels of it scoring a seventh and final season renewal order, CBS’ “S.W.A.T.” series has now found a new streaming home with Netflix making a substantial deal with Sony Pictures TV for the first five seasons. They will begin streaming in the United States from tomorrow, with the sixth season expected to join them in the Fall. [Source: Netflix Life
Untitled Tim Burton Docuseries
An untitled four-part documentary series about filmmaker Tim Burton is heading to the Cannes Market. Tara Wood helms the project, which features many of Burton’s most important cinematic collaborators (including Depp, Keaton, Bonham Carter and Ryder) as they look into Burton’s work from “Beetlejuice” and “Edward Scissorhands” to “Sleepy Hollow” and “Wednesday”.
