Former “The Expanse” regular Wes Chatham is returning to the stars, joining the cast of the live-action “Star Wars: Ahsoka” series at Lucasfilm and the Disney+ service.

Chatham, who played the burly Amos on “Expanse,” will reportedly play the right-hand man to Lars Mikkelsen’s Admiral Thrawn character in the series – a narrative that appears to boast several villains as It chronicles an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Chatham marks a late addition to the cast of the show which follows Anakin Skywalker’s Togruta padawan Ahsoka (Dawson).

Set in the wake of Ahsoka’s live-action appearances in “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” the series also serves as a follow-up to the animated “Star Wars Rebels” as Ahsoka goes on the hunt for the disappeared Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.

The project hails from “Star Wars Rebels” co-creator Dave Filoni and is executive produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau. Filoni has previously spoken about how the bad guy’s use of orange lightsabers is a deliberate choice.

Also onboard are Ray Stevenson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and David Tennant. “Ahsoka” is set for an August 2023 release on the Disney+ service.
