Apple TV+ has announced a June 9th premiere date for “The Crowded Room,” its upcoming limited series starring Tom Holland, Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum.
The story follows Danny Sullivan (Holland) after he’s arrested for his involvement in a New York City shooting in 1979. Danny details his life through a series of interviews with interrogator Rya Goodwin (Seyfried).
As he explains his mysterious past that led him to the fateful incident and re-examines his life, it ultimately leads him to uncover a life-altering revelation.
The series will explore the true and inspirational stories of those who have struggled and learned to successfully live with mental illness. When announced, it was revealed that the property is inspired by Daniel Keyes’ award-winning biography “The Minds of Billy Milligan”.
Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Laila Robins and Henry Eikenberry also star, whilst Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, Thomas Sadoski and Zachary Golinger guest star.
Created by Akiva Goldsman for Apple Studios and New Regency, Goldman executive produces alongside Alexandra Milchan, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Kornel Mundruczo direted several episodes.
The series launches with three episodes on that date, with the remaining seven episodes airing weekly through July 28th.
